On Thursday, the representative of the Al-Fatah parliamentary bloc, Muhammad Karim, revealed the agenda of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani’s visit to the American capital, Washington, which is scheduled for the middle of this month.
Karim told Al-Maalouma, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani will discuss many important files during his visit to Washington, in which he also discussed the coordination framework and the state administration coalition.”
He added, “The most important of these files is the foreign and American presence on Iraqi soil, as it is a priority for the government’s work to dismantle this file and work on it directly during the last period through committees between the two sides,” explaining that “the second file relates to the form of the relationship between Baghdad and Washington and the management of files between the two sides.” The third file is how to deal with the problems and obstacles that the United States of America rejects, especially the Iraqi banks and personalities.”
The representative of the coordination framework pointed out that “the Sudanese is looking forward to resolving many of the problems with the American side, especially the promises made by Washington regarding the military presence on Iraqi territory.”
It is reported that Al-Sudani will visit Washington to meet with US President Joe Biden on the fifth of this month.
