Shafaq News / Arab countries’ possession of US bonds amounted to more than $256 billion during 2023.
In its latest table of the top 40 countries holding US bonds seen by Shafaq News, the US Treasury said that “the acquisition by Arab countries of US bonds amounted to 256.4 billion dollars during the year 2023,” noting that “these bonds are distributed to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Iraq.”
She added that “Saudi Arabia came to the head of these countries with its possession of 111.3 billion dollars, followed by the UAE with its possession of $ 69 billion, followed by Kuwait with its possession of 41.4 billion dollars, and Iraq comes after that with its possession of 32.7 billion dollars.”
“The total bonds of the countries of the world amounted to $7.527.4 trillion,” it added.
