Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 4.21% or 6.45 points to trade at 159.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 1.81% or 3.40 points to end at 191.40 and Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) was up 1.75% or 6.10 points to 354.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV), which fell 1.89% or 20.00 points to trade at 1,039.50 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 1.80% or 160.00 points to end at 8,745.00 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 1.59% or 144.00 points to 8,912.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 56 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.80% or 160.00 to 8,745.00. Shares in AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.59% or 144.00 to 8,912.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.41% or 1.14 to $81.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.30% or 1.11 to hit $86.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $2,161.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.17% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 103.25.
