France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.43%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM), which rose 2.44% or 0.60 points to trade at 24.99 at the close. Meanwhile, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) added 1.74% or 13.60 points to end at 794.80 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) was up 1.45% or 33.00 points to 2,303.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN), which fell 3.05% or 0.79 points to trade at 24.98 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 1.50% or 1.34 points to end at 88.16 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) was down 1.16% or 0.80 points to 68.29.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which rose 3.76% to 1.85, Argan (EPA:ARGAN) which was up 2.88% to settle at 78.60 and Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) which gained 2.69% to close at 99.25.
The worst performers were Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which was down 7.21% to 7.46 in late trade, Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) which lost 6.10% to settle at 28.04 and Forvia (EPA:FRVIA) which was down 3.66% to 13.95 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 291 to 231 and 87 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.26% or 6.10 to $2,368.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.41% or 1.21 to hit $84.45 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.36% or 1.23 to trade at $89.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 105.82.
