{Economic: Al-Furat News} The Central Bank of Iraq lifted restrictions on electronic payment card ceilings.
According to a letter from the bank to all banks, {Euphrates News} obtained a copy of it that “and with our generalities, numbers numbered 104/14 and 203 on 5/21/ and 28/28/71, we would like to inform you that the instructions contained in the two generals are related to the ceilings of prepaid cards and their limits and procedures exclusively, and with regard to the ceilings of operations associated with debit cards and credit cards and their limits, they are subject to the bank’s internal policy, and emphasize the importance of committing to inform the public and your customers that these limits and ceilings are within your bank’s policy with the obligation to comply with due diligence procedures and requirements of Know a customer such as (KYC), the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Law No. 3 of 2015 as well as international rules, frameworks and frameworks and practices related.”
