Shafaq News/ The US Energy Information Administration confirmed today, Tuesday, that Iraq’s oil exports to America amounted to about 84 million barrels during eight months of 2023.
An administration table seen by Shafaq News Agency showed that Iraq’s exports of crude oil and its products to America during eight months of the year 2023, starting from January to the end of August, amounted to 84.049 million barrels, an increase of 13.51% over the same period of the year 2022, which amounted to Oil exports to America amounted to 74.564 million barrels, an increase of 128% compared to the same period of the year 2021, in which oil exports to America amounted to 38.447 million barrels.
She also explained that the highest rate of oil exports to America during those months of the year 2023 was in February, when it reached 12.168 million barrels, while the lowest rate of oil exports was for the month of June, when it reached 9.330 million barrels.
The table also showed that the highest rate of exports in the eight months during the past ten years was in 2018, when it reached 104.384 million barrels.
Iraq exports approximately 10% of its oil exports to America, and is considered among the ten most important countries exporting to America, alongside Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia.
