Clare: The Cabinet approved the draft budget law for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025

On Monday, the Iraqi Council of Ministers approved the draft budget law for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Council of Ministers approves the draft federal budget law for the fiscal years 2023, 2024 and 2025, in its regular session chaired by the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, and refers it to the House of Representatives.
Today, the Iraqi government, headed by Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, held a session that included discussing the draft federal budget law.
Yesterday, Sunday, Finance Minister Taif Sami announced the completion of the draft federal budget law for the year 2023 and sending it to the Council of Ministers for the purpose of discussing and voting on it. LINK

The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, announced, on Monday, that an agreement had been reached to end the dispute between Baghdad and Erbil over Kurdistan Region’s oil revenues.
“An agreement was reached to solve the problems between the center and the region regarding oil and gas by putting the revenues from the region’s oil in a bank,” Al-Sudani said during a press conference held today after the cabinet session, which was attended by Shafaq News agency.
He added, “For the first time, we reached an agreement that the region’s oil revenues be deposited in one account and authorize the region’s prime minister and the federal prime minister to monitor the account, and there will be a committee that will submit its recommendations to the federal prime minister to take the appropriate decision.” LINK

The deputy in the Iraqi parliament from Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Bajyar Rashid, revealed today, Monday, the details of the state’s general federal budget for the three years approved by the Council of Ministers, describing it as the largest budget in Iraq’s history.
Rashid told Shafaq News agency, “The Iraqi Council of Ministers agreed on a draft budget law for the fiscal years 2023, 2024, and 2025, indicating that the Iraqi budget draft law is the largest in the history of the Iraqi state in 20 years, amounting to 200 trillion dinars, the total budget, and it will reach Parliament shortly.”
He stressed that the region’s budget will be 25 trillion dinars, and this budget can be used for planning and work in a very large way.
