Baghdad Today – Baghdad
An informed source revealed today, Friday, the suspension of official working hours in Iraq next Tuesday on the occasion of Nowruz.
The source told Baghdad Today that “official working hours will be suspended in Iraq next Tuesday on the occasion of Nowruz.”
It is noteworthy that most regions of Iraq, especially in the Kurdistan region, celebrate the spring festivals on March 21 of each year, which is called Nowruz, which is a national holiday. LINK
Henig: IMO: Interesting timing.
Game of Patience: IMO Nowruz is the start of spring, leaves and flowers budding – new beginnings. Nowruz / Spring is the start of God’s 7th month (Nisan) on the Hebrew Calendar (7 means completion).
DeepWoodz: Not being pessimistic, but holidays are a dime a dozen in Iraq. Hopefully not this one. Start of Ramadan the day after?
