KTFA: Samson: Vietnam’s exports of electronic equipment reached $100 billion in a year

In the first half year, Vietnam received $29.17 billion in exports of phones and components, an increase of 16.4% compared to the same period last year, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The agency quoted data from the General Customs Administration of Vietnam that the main importers of these products in 2022 are China, the United States, the European Union and the Republic of Korea.
In detail, exports of phones and components to the United States grew by 53.7% to $6.61 billion, to China – by 16.6% to $6.45 billion, and to Kazakhstan by 29.8% to $2.78 billion. During that, the supply of these goods to the market decreased by 7.7% compared to the first half of last year, ie to $3.2 billion.
It is also reported that the export of computers and electronic components abroad achieved significant growth. The value of exports of this group of goods in the first half of this year amounted to 27.68 billion dollars, an increase of 15.6% over the same period last year.
According to the Association of Producers of the Vietnamese Electronic Industry, the products of this industry are among the main components of Vietnamese exports. Last year’s results indicate that the value of its exports abroad exceeded $100 billion. LINK
