The total sales of the Central Bank of Iraq of hard currency, the dollar, during the days in which the auction was opened last week amounted to more than one billion dollars.
Shafaq News Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week and for the 5 days in which the auction was opened, one billion, 384 million, 31 thousand, and 47 dollars, at a daily rate of 276 million, 806 million, and 209 dollars, lower than what was recorded in the previous week, which amounted to one billion, 387 million, 639 million, and 901 dollars.
The highest dollar sales were on Tuesday, when sales reached 287 million, 374 thousand, and 767 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Monday, when sales reached 265 million, 630 thousand, and 629 dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to 1 billion, 325 million, 931 thousand and 47 dollars, an increase of 96% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 58 million and 100 thousand dollars.
