Today, Saturday, informed sources announced political and parliamentary movements and demands to recover $215 million belonging to the Trade Bank of Iraq.
The source said, in an interview with Al-Sumaria TV, that the Iraqi Trade Bank is suffering losses of about 215 million dollars as a result of the issuance of judicial rulings in favor of influential figures (A.A.) and (S.N.), in addition to others.
The source, who requested to remain anonymous, added that this issue raises doubts about the existence of cooperation with some influential people to share this amount within the bank, stressing by saying that we need a media and judicial stand with the bank’s management, represented by Bilal Al-Hamdani, to recover this money to the state treasury.
On the other hand, the First Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Alia Nassif, today, Saturday (April 6, 2024), called on the Prime Minister, the Public Prosecution, and the Director of the Trade Bank of Iraq to put an end to the people who drain the Iraqi people’s money by plundering the bank’s funds.
