Today, Tuesday, the Iraqi Ports Company announced its expectations of completing the five berths project in Al-Faw Port during the month of October of the current year 2024. The company’s general manager, Farhan Al-Fartusi, stated in a press conference that the engineering cadres were able to complete the berths No. 1 and No. 2 within the Al-Faw Port project. Pointing out that October of this year will witness the complete completion of the five piers, according to the plan set for the project.
Al-Fartusi added that Al-Faw Port projects are directly sponsored by the Prime Minister, noting that the completion rate in the container yard project has reached 67%, and work is underway on a daily basis to complete the project.
Yesterday, Monday, the Ministry of Transport announced the completion of Berth No. 2 in the Grand Al-Faw Port in Basra Governorate.
According to the Ministry, the project to establish the container terminal for the Grand Al-Faw Port, which is one of the five projects of the project, includes the construction of five giant berths for unloading ships with a length of (1,750) meters, and the establishment of a container yard with a length of 2,000 meters and a width of 600, with an initial capacity of up to two million containers annually.Subscribe to
