The Central Bank of Iraq announced on Wednesday that the volume of loans and advances to banks has increased to more than 61 trillion dinars.
The bank said in statistics reviewed by Shafaq News Agency that “the volume of loans and advances to banks operating in Iraq rose in the first quarter of 2024 to 61.7 trillion dinars, from 50.9 trillion dinars in the same period in 2023 and from 46.4 trillion dinars in 2022.”
He added, “The growth rate of the volume of loans and advances increased by 21.2% for the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2022, while it increased by 10.5% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.”
