Yes, I have been on SSDI for a few years now as I’m in my 60’s and with my disability I am allowed it, but it doesn’t mean that everyone in the USA is to work till the age of 65 before they get any of it.
For the rest of you I have also been given Notice by others to continue to make these posts on Social Security so they know what is going on with that according to the SSA like with the RV.
“They never post what you’re going to get for September until October.” Well you’re wrong on this for me. They have given me direct Notice, so what ever you say or anyone else to you is not always correct, but for me you are wrong.
I have been given direct Notice from the SSA that I am to receive it by the 3rd of the month, thus by 3 Sept. for the month of September, and they provide it to me earlier on one of the last few business days of the prior month as they have done so politely. This changed back in January 2022 where I received one payment on 3 Jan. and then one on 31 Jan. for the month of February.
At the end of December 2023 I received the increase amount that I am to receive for each month in the following year, as I did receive the increase for 2024 on Thurs. 28 Dec. 2023 at the rate of inflation and this was for the month of January.
My father started getting his SSDI at the age of 47 due to his life long disability for which no one would hire him after that, and he was denied to serve in the USA Military during the Korean War due to his disability. It was long before the ‘Americans with Disabilities Act’ was put into place, so he was discriminated against by employers in the 1970’s.
