The Iraq Stock Exchange announced, on Thursday, the suspension of its activity for five days.
“Based on the decision of the Council of Ministers to declare an official holiday for five days on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, it will not organize trading sessions from Thursday, April 20 until next Monday,” the market said in a statement to Shafaq
“The first trading session after the Eid holiday will be on Tuesday, April 25 and according to its official time,” he added.
It is noteworthy that the Iraq Stock Exchange organizes five trading sessions per week from Sunday to Thursday, and lists 103 Iraqi joint stock companies representing the sectors of banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism, hotels and services.
