Iraq Confirms Second Cholera Death
ERBIL — Iraq’s Health Ministry on Thursday confirmed second fatality due to Cholera this year.
Saif Al-Badr, a spokesperson for the Iraqi Health Ministry, told state media that a woman infected with Cholera died in Baghdad on Thursday due to complications related to the disease.
According to the official, 139 cases of Cholera have been registered across the country this year.
Iraq recorded the first Cholera-related death in June. The victim was an 87-year-old woman from the disputed Kurdish province of Kirkuk.
