The Iraqi government has approved a revision to its previous decision on the Basra-Haditha crude oil pipeline project, enabling a direct invitation process for participating companies.
Under the amended Decision No. 578 of 2025, the Ministry of Oil will invite specialised and interested companies to submit bids for the project, rather than proceeding through earlier tender arrangements.
The pipeline is considered a strategic infrastructure project aimed at strengthening Iraq’s oil transport network and export flexibility.
