{Political: Euphrates News} US President Joe Biden congratulated Iraq on its national day on October 3.
A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, a copy of which was received by {Euphrates News} said that “Minister of State Fouad Hussein received today, Tuesday, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Iraq Alina Romanowski. At the beginning of the meeting, the American ambassador delivered the message of US President Joe Biden addressed to the President of the Republic of Iraq Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, which includes congratulating the government and people of Iraq on the 91st anniversary of the independence of Iraq.”
Biden expressed in his letter, according to the Foreign Ministry’s statement, “working together to support the democratic process in Iraq and strengthen institutions to support the Iraqi people and their diversity, stressing the need to achieve security in the world by continuing to defeat the ISIS terrorist, pointing out his aspiration to participate in common priorities and strengthen the partnership between Baghdad and Washington, wishing a happy national day for the people of Iraq and its government.”
In another axis of the meeting, the meetings that took place in New York between the American delegation and the Iraqi delegation were discussed under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani.
