The decline in the reserves of the Central Bank of Iraq to 35 billion dollars .. And the reason!

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Abdul Hadi Saadawi, said that “the reserves of the Central Bank of Iraq before the vote on the loan amounted to 51 billion dollars .”

He added that “the second loan voted by the House of Representatives pushed the government to withdraw 12 trillion dinars,” noting that “the reserve has decreased to 35 billion dollars .”

Parliamentary integrity: a move to open closed files on corruption of big whales

The Baghdad Post Sunday, November 15, 2020 10:54 AM  A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Abd al-Amir Al-Mayahi, announced that the committee is determined to open all corruption files of the big personalities that were referred to the Integrity and Public Prosecution Commission and closed.

Al-Mayahi said, “Administrative corruption exists and is rampant in all state departments and is not limited to financial departments.”

He added that “the committee now has a move to open all files, especially the files of large party figures and ministers,” noting that “political consensus is the biggest obstacle to the integrity committee and opening those files.”

He explained that “any file opens accusations that are being heaped on the committee that it is political blackmail, and those personalities employ their electronic armies to drop.”  He stressed that “the committee is determined to open it and follow it up until it reaches the judiciary to decide on it.”   LINK

The international coalition reveals the number of US forces present in Iraq

Follow-up Sunday, November 15, 2020 03:35 PM  Today, Sunday, the spokesman for the international coalition, Colonel Wayne Marto, revealed the number of US military forces in Iraq.

Marto said, “The American forces present in Iraq belong to the international coalition, and their number in Iraq is about 3000 soldiers.”

He added, “The mission of the international coalition is to assist the Iraqi forces in pursuing the remnants of ISIS remnants, and the air strikes carried out by the coalition against ISIS at the request of the Iraqi side.”

He pointed out that “the international coalition carried out 37800 sorties in Iraq in the last six years,” noting that “the relocation of the coalition forces was due to the handover of some bases to the Iraqi side.”

Deputy reveals 4 conditions that must be fulfilled to renew the contract of mobile phone companies

Money  and business  Economy News – Baghdad  Member of Parliament, Representative Jasim Al-Bakhati, revealed, on Sunday, four conditions for renewing licenses for mobile phone companies (Asia Cell – Zain Iraq – Korek), operating in Iraq.

Al-Bakhati said in a press interview, “The court’s decision containing the invalidation of the renewal of mobile phone companies’ licenses in Iraq, nationally and large, will oblige them to pay off previous money owed by them.” Seale, Zain Iraq, Korek, which operates in Iraq, it will be on the table. ”

Al-Bakhati revealed, “If the companies intend to return the contract, they must first pay off the sums of money they owe, improve the quality of the Internet and communication, and reduce the exaggeration in the prices of the credit recharge cards.”

On Sunday, the Parliament’s Communications Committee announced the nullity of renewing contracts for mobile phone companies.

In turn, MP Muhammad Shi`a al-Sudani said, via a tweet on the Twitter platform: “Today, the Iraqi judiciary said it was victorious for the people, confirming its independence and professionalism when the judge decided to accept the case and rejected the renewal decision.”

It is noteworthy that the Council of Ministers decided on July 7 to approve the renewal of mobile phone companies for five years according to the contract, with the proposal of an additional period of (3) years, so that the total period of renewal would be (Cool years, ending at the end of the license 8/30/2030.

Nina’s Representative Services: The government is obligated to collect the debts of the mobile phone company, according to the law, without delay

A member of the committee, Representative Burhan Al-Mamouri, said in a statement to the Iraqi National News Agency / NINA /, that “the House of Representatives exercised its legal and oversight role by diagnosing the joints of defects and legal violations against these companies, and filed legal claims for the renewal of contracts and licenses of those companies that exploited the money of the Iraqis.”

He explained that “the revenues of debts owed to the government owed by mobile phone companies have not been paid yet, and there are billions of dollars that these companies earn, not less than 30-35 million dollars a month from their subscribers inside Iraq.”

He added, “The government today borrows to pay salaries, and we have pockets of money that can be exploited in this critical circumstance, the first of which is the debts of mobile companies, as well as revenues from border outlets, taxes and customs that need to be legally controlled and to collect their sectors so that we do not need to borrow again.”

He called on the government to take all its legal measures and not proceed with the renewal of such suspicious contracts, indicating the necessity of entering some competing companies in the telecommunications and mobile phone sector to supplement the state budget with important revenues.

Iraq announces an important shift in Internet service

Money   and business  Economy News – Baghdad  The Ministry of Communications announced, on Sunday, that next year will witness the start of the shift from the method of providing Internet service through “Wi-Fi”, to the delivery of an optical cable rite to every home, indicating that the project will provide 5-7 million lines in the Iraqi provinces with the exception of the Kurdistan region.

The Director General of the Communications and Informatics Department in the ministry, Basem Al-Asadi, said, “Next year will witness a significant shift in Internet service in Iraq, as a shift will be initiated from the method of providing Internet service through (Wi-Fi) to the method of providing Internet service by delivering the optical cable rite to Every home. ”

Al-Asadi added, in an interview with the official news agency, that “this project will provide from 5-7 million lines in all governorates of Iraq except for the Kurdistan region.”

He continued, “Three million lines were announced in all governorates and the Rusafa and Al-Karkh regions, and that 150,000 of them were from the Japanese loan in Baghdad and they were announced, and they will be referred during the next few days, in addition to the activation of the (Symphony) project in this regard.”

Sabah Al-Aqili to NINA: Parliament and the Integrity Committee are not aware of the work of the Supreme Committee for Combating Corruption

Sunday 15, November 2020 14:00 | Political Views: 224  Baghdad / NINA / A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee for the Sairoun bloc, Sabah Al-Ugaili, said: Parliament and the Integrity Committee are not aware of the work of the Supreme Committee for Combating Corruption, which is directly linked to the Prime Minister.

He told the Iraqi National News Agency ( NINA ) that: There is no coordination between the Integrity Committee and the Supreme Committee for Combating Corruption at all, indicating: We are not against its work.

Al-Ugaili added that: The greater the numbers working on combating corruption, the more good results can be achieved, especially since this committee is directly linked to the prime minister.

He explained: We hoped that there would be coordination between the committee and the Supreme Committee, at least by looking at the files they have so that we would be supportive of them.

The Stock Exchange: A court ruling deepens Asiacell Telecom’s losses

Stock  market  Market  Economy News – Baghdad  The telecommunications sector in the stock exchange was exposed to a shock that deepened its losses following a judicial decision refusing to renew licenses to operate mobile phone companies in Iraq.

This is what caused the shares of Asiacell to drop by 4.20% in trading today, Sunday, and it was at the forefront of the losing companies after the decrease in the value of its share from 7.1 dinars to 6.8 dinars.

The general index of the stock exchange decreased by 0.48% after the decline in the shares of 5 companies.

The session witnessed the circulation of 514.9 million shares, worth 540.2 million dinars.

Shares of 4 companies rose in today’s trading, led by Al-Mansour Pharmaceutical Company shares by 3.79% and Al-Amin Insurance Company by 1.96%.  While foreign investors sold 10 million shares at a value of 5 million dinars.

Dollar exchange rates in the Iraqi market

The Kifah Stock Exchange recorded 125,000 dinars against 100 US dollars, which is the same as the dollar exchange rate for Saturday, which recorded 125,000 dinars per 100 dollars.

As for the exchange rate in the local market, it also stabilized where it was

Sales price: 125,500 dinars per $ 100.  Purchase price: 124,500 dinars per $ 100.

The exchange rates in Basra Governorate were recorded at 125,100 dinars per 100 dollars.

While the exchange rates in Sulaymaniyah Governorate recorded 125,200 dinars per 100 dollars.
