This move complements the agreement in Washington last Spring.
He pointed that this project will concentrate on financial administration and the implementation of the budget at the finance ministry and other departments.
Minister Issa added that the priorities of the project is to develop governmental investments.

May 4, 2017 in Investment The Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan has said the Region is safe and secure for investment, and encouraged foreign businesses to return to Kurdistan after the defeat of the so-called Islamic State (IS, ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) terror organization.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a new five-star hotel in Erbil, Nechirvan Barzani said:
“Lebanese investors of this project, which cost $40 million, have proved that despite all the challenges and difficulties facing the region, Kurdistan is still a safe and trusted place for investors and businesses.
“Also their confidence and understanding that the Kurdistan Region is stepping towards a brighter and better future and it is considered a good destination for investment in the region.”
He added that the Kurdistan Regional Government is ready to offer assistance to investors who are interested in the Kurdistan Region.
“Our government wants investors and businesses to focus on agriculture, tourism and industry in particular,” he said.

12:15 PM ADMIN Teheran/ Iraq TradeLink: Iranian Central Bank announced that talks were held with the Iraqi Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) to coordinate financial cooperation.
In a statement, the two-day talks concentrated on completing the procedures to hold the joint banking committee during the coming two weeks.
The meetings were to follow up the cooperation agreement between Iranian and Iraqi central banks signed last year, the statement added.
It pointed out that the memorandum stipulated opening accounts in Euro currency and the mechanisms for settlement of financial obligations in local currencies.

“There has been progress in the markets of Kurdistan Region as well as its domestic and foreign investment, and these are all connected to the liberation of [the majority] of Mosul from Daesh [IS],” said Yasin Mahmoud, a spokesperson for the Board of Investment.
He noted that foreign investors had suspended their projects due to the security crisis caused by IS’ presence in northern Iraq, and now they are resuming their work as the group is nearing its end.
“Nearly $30 billion was allocated to reconstruct Mosul [after the complete defeat of IS], which is expected to benefit the Kurdistan Region’s economy,” Mahmoud stated.
He further revealed that Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has also designed an extensive plan for 2017 which will help the revival of its economy.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – Iraqi forces moved into Mosul from the north on the second day of a new offensive aimed at speeding up a seven-month-old campaign to expel a militant group, military commanders said Friday.
“What we encountered during this operation was an attempt by the elements of the organization to disrupt the sectors with booby-trapped vehicles and obstructions,” Brigadier General Walid Khalifa, deputy commander of the 9th Armored Division, told Reuters in Halilah, west of Musheira.
Troops killed about 30 terrorists and destroyed five car bombs, he said. US air support has played an important role in monitoring mined vehicles and in avoiding targets where civilians are trapped.
“The terrorists did not have time to set up roadblocks and progress has been going well since yesterday,” Brigadier Yahya Rasul, spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, said.
The new foothold of the Iraqi forces is aimed at opening escape corridors for hundreds of thousands of civilians trapped behind the lines and thus helping troops to advance.
The Ninth Armored Division and the Ministry of the Interior’s Rapid Response Force are seeking access to the Euphrates River Bank to complete the encirclement of the old town controlled by Dahesh.
