tman23 says():Just shake my head @…….”International Development Bank (IDB) is granted a membership license to MasterCard International”

Quote: “The International Development Bank (IDB) on Thursday held the signing ceremony for the contract for the granting of a basic membership license to MasterCard International in Baghdad.” …….BIG DEAL !!! LOL ! YOU CAN USE YOUR MASTERCARD/DEBIT CARD IN IRAQ AT ATM’S…….. AND THIS HAS BEEN FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW (YEARS)……..

tman23 says():IDP……inter-american development bank ! We work to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through financial and technical support for countries working to reduce poverty and inequality, we help improve health and education, and advance infrastructure.

Royalty says():Hi all.

Royalty says():Got to hunt and gather. See you in the funny papers.

buck says():they have been at it since 1959, judging from the success of south american economies they are about as useful as the johnson war on poverty…..

Beeson says():IS leader, aides, escape western Mosul with millions of dollars in possession Iraqi generals recently said they became in control over nearly 90 percent of the western region and expected to be fully liberated this month

tman23 says():People hate dates……. But Kuwait introduce their new banknotes into circulation June 29th 2014…..First day of Ramadan…….. So much for they don’t do anything during Ramadan theory……

This is very interesting to keep in mind ……Kuwait did this 10 months after releasing the new notes on 6/20/2014……

*Note: Holders of the fifth issue banknotes shall still be able to exchange them only at CBK Banking Hall, by presenting an ID along with a copy thereof, and filling the related form, within an extended period of 10 years from the effective date of the resolution dated 19-04-2015.

http://www.cbk.gov.kw/en/banknotes-and-coins/banknotes/more-about-the-new-banknotes.jsp

tman23 says():So 10 months later Kuwait has a resolution…….Notes of the 5th series no longer accepted at banks etc……but for the next 10 years they can be exchanged at the central bank for the new notes…..bring your ID and fill out the forms….. !!!! Now Iraq says the 3 zero notes will be good for 10 years……

BUT KEEP IN THE BACK OF YOUR MIND THE KUWAIT SCENARIO…….And also when Iraq CBI dropped the 50 dinar note……less than 60 days to exchange !! BUT YOU CAN GO DIRECTLY TO THE CBI STILL TODAY TO EXCHANGE…….

tman23 says():ERBIL — Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC) Masrour Barzani is set to be hosted by The Heritage Foundation in Washington DC to present an account on the post-Islamic State (IS) era and the challenges likely to arise in Iraq and the wider region.

The event entitled ‘Iraq After ISIS Is Defeated In Mosul: A View from Kurdistan’, organized by The Heritage Foundation, is set to happen on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 between 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Barzani will give insights on the anti-IS campaign; immediate and long-term political challenges in Iraq and the broader Middle East; and future relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government, Iraq and the United States, according to The Heritage Foundation’s website.

Chancellor Barzani will also outline strategies to address Iraq’s unending conflict. Furthermore, he will touch on the referendum on Kurdistan Region independence expected to take place in the fall this year.

tman23 says():As a coalition of Peshmerga forces, Iraqi Security Forces and American forces continue to roll back ISIS militants in Mosul and beyond, numerous questions remain about the future of social and political contracts in Iraq.

Though the impending victory in Mosul represents a new chapter for Iraq, with significance far beyond a devastating three year war, defeating ISIS does not end a crisis underpinned by distrust. How will displaced families, traumatized by genocide and violence, return to homes flattened by war? What political conditions are needed to prevent a resurgence of ISIS and inter-communal conflict?

Can a political reckoning allow the Iraqi state to move forward? Kurdish political parties, meanwhile, have agreed to hold a referendum on independence this year – what are the regional implications?

Masrour Barzani is the Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region Security Council of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and an important figure in the US-led Global Coalition. He will give insights on the anti-ISIL campaign;

immediate and long-term political challenges in Iraq and the broader Middle East; and future relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government, Iraq and the United States. Chancellor Barzani will also outline strategies to address Iraq’s unending conflict.
