tman23 says():Baghdad- Former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki revealed that he is planning to return to office after being declined for a third term by each of Iraqi political forces and U.S. management after the 2014 elections.
The MP, who also belongs to the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, a political party led by Ammar al-Hakeem, added that al-Maliki has intensified his efforts by sending out dinner invitations, convening in bilateral sessions with leaderships from the State of Law Coalition, the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq and the Sadrist Movement.
Moreover, broadcasting channel (Aafaq) backing al-Maliki aired programs glorifying him as a leader and downplaying the current government.
The programs have dubbed al-Maliki as the “first Vice President of Iraq”, despite al-Abadi dismissing him from duty along with Eyyad A’lawi and Ossama al-Nojayfi. THIS IS SATURDAY MARCH 12TH 2016 ARTICLE….
cjquade54 says():can’t see that happening but … I’m confused
tman23 says():Masrour Barzani met with the Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri in Erbil on Saturday to discuss the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Barzani explained that the security and economic crisis are not the only causes of the current hardship faced by Iraq, but implementing a failed policy in the country has fuelled distrust among different Iraqi factions.
“We believe a federal system could address the issues in Iraq; but it could not bring about a real political partnership in the country.”
Hutch says():Captain ! Theres a Nouri spotted off the port bow sir!!!….
“MAN THE HARPOONS BOYS”!!!
larrykn says():funny how this news is coming out against Adibi, now who owns the media over there ,,,, mmmmm
tman23 says():Article on Maliki……..Written by : Asharq Al-Awsat    on : Saturday, 12 Mar, 2016 …… A premier pan-Arab daily newspaper printed simulatniously on 4 continents in 14 cities………….
Baxter1243 says():Doesnt look like Maliki is going to leave the Palace… does it…
larrykn says to tman23():you might be right , would like to see some more info from diffenent sources first, BGG came in this morning saying Maliki is gone, I don’t know where he got his info but I would think he has good resources
Baxter1243 says():Maliki is gone where?..
larrykn says to tman23():out of politics
Baxter1243 says():Really?…
Baxter1243 says():Thats great news.. if true..
larrykn says():that is what BGG stated
larrykn says():that is what I thought too     larrykn says():its in chatlog
cjquade54 says):what to believe?
Baxter1243 says():If BGG said that… he must know something … hope its true….
R&R says():I hope so too
R&R says():The five stages of Maliki: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. Clearly he is stuck in denial… lol
tman23 says():I bring you gravity…….. gravity is what keeps you grounded……..
It is in INK by legitimate sources…….. There is NO INK saying Maliki has went on symbatical…… AND I WILL SAY……..NAME ONE MIDDLE EAST LEADER THAT HAS EVER LEFT POWER POSITIONS PEACEFULLY…….
larrykn says to tman23():I’m not disagreeing with you but just stating what BGG said this morning, I think for one I would like to see the ink on what BGG stated, he said as of this morning so I just don’t know
tman23 says to larrykn():Not doubting BGG’s take on the scenario……..But Maliki announcing a step down has been rumoured BUT no where is INK from legitimate sources of media…….Which would be BIG NEWS !! And you would not have to go digging for it………..
larrykn says():just the thougth makes it interesting 🙂
tman23 says():Iraq is closer to dividing into 4 than it is uniting….. Think of it as irreconcilable differences…… The federal government will run Iraq affairs……
The divorce will take place with alimony payments….. Baghdad has Najaf set as the escape capital for the GOI……There is a wall being built around Baghdad……
Kurds have dug a 3 foot trench outlining the Kurdistan region borders with the help of French surveyors and satelite images……..
Even though Abadi has his reform package and Wednesday he is to have all names of technocrats delivered……HE STILL NEEDS PARLIMENT APPROVAL……
Which he did not get on February 20th…… The demonstrations are to place pressure on Parliment members for the Abadi reforms……. This thing is far from being in the “bag” for Abadi……. If Abadi doesn’t get Parliment this thing could turn upside down very very fast
Baxter1243 says():well… if they do divide….. we are DONE… like a cooked Goose…
Baxter1243 says():I just cant see that happening…
tman23 says to Baxter1243():They are going to end up dividing territorries……and distributing power to provinces….. It would be no different than 4 states under federal management….They would still use the same currency and follow federal laws such as we do in our states/////
Baxter1243 says():I understand all of that.. but I believe they will stay together…
Hutch says():Abadi and political blocs to abolish the role of Parliament in crisis resolution
The head of the Civic Democratic Alliance, for example Al-aloosi, on Sunday, the Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abbadi and all political blocs sought to abolish the role of Parliament in the resolution of crises.
Al-Alusi said l/balance of news, “the Prime Minister and members of the National Alliance and strong Union and all parties seek to weaken the Iraqi Parliament to resolve the tense political situation or even cancelled.
He added that “all political parties seeking to play outside the Constitution and the laws of logic”, saying he “can’t get any building in Iraq without a commitment to the democratic process.”

jtank says():whats the use n dividing if still using same currency
Hutch says():Marriage is the main reason for divorce.
R&R says to Hutch():Thank you Hutch. Sounds like they are trying to implement an “executive order” system for the PM similar to what we have here in the U.S.
tman23 says to jtank():Shia dominate………. BUT not long ago it was the Sunni…… The Shia are strong ties to Iran……The Sunni fought Iran and their influence……. Kurdistan was caught in the middle…….
The Sunni used chemical weapons and killed Kurds….. The Shia have cut off the Kurds from funding their constitutional fair share……. The PUK in Kurdistan is Iranian influenced……
The KDP is not in favor of Iran influence……. SO EVERYTIME NATIONAL RECONCILIATION IS BROUGHT UP……..I LAUGH SO HARD I WET MYSELF………
tman23 says():And Iraq Parliment system does not have executive order……. So does Abadi jump into a “dictatorship” and avoid the constitutional laws……rotfl !! Not on Maliki’s watch……….
Otherwise Maliki would have done it long ago……..He ohhhhhhh so desired to move in that direction…….He could not……and neither can Abadi……. If Abadi does…… Democracy has failed…….
