The labor/time productivity number you all talked about is so bullish because without oil to support incomes that number has to move up.
If theybincrease productivity by a fraction of a percenty the GDP leverage is enormous. The US hasn’t had productivity growth for several years because the technology applications behind the real economys output growth ran out of steam and resources flowed into social media applications .
That trend could be reversing. The beauty of Iraq is that even a small positive change at the margin will have a huge impact on the countries economic potential. These things feef on themselves until they become ingrainded.
