I’ve told the story about “the Dairy Cow” before…
I need to cover it again… (and then some – not just for us – it’s the whole COUNTRY)
if a dairy cow runs across a stick in their hay – they don’t quit eating…
they don’t get offended and boycott, they don’t write a letter to the farmer – telling him they don’t like his attitude while he’s feeding them…
if they find something they don’t like… for instance – a stick… they just push it aside and keep eating.
there’s a lesson in there for all of us…
while we’re here – let’s all try and be as smart as an average DAIRY COW!!
somebody says something that pisses you off – push it aside and get the good. Forget the rest. The only one who gets hurt when you are pissed off – or offended… is you.
Let’s try and be more – here.
I see a dangerous trend in this country right now… feelings – offenses – true or not, are being held up as “rights” – they are not.
We – as a country – need to GROW UP. It starts with one person – one at a time – it can start here. Now. One at a time.
I’m not talking about one person – one instance – or one group. I’m talking to everyone – all the time.
We’re a big – growing group…
On the other hand… in addition to some “get over it”…
We all need to be better to one another. We can do that…
We can ease up on the personal stuff… personal attacks – if you don’t like whatever info someone brings – discuss the info with them – openly… personal attacks, when you don’t like what they had to say, is less than we want to be.
I’m not talking “at” anyone – PERIOD. This is no one’s fault but my own.
A while back I probably “projected” a little less tolerance than I have in the pass… maybe a little quicker on the trigger than I have been.
I’m not saying I won’t still be quick on the trigger… I intend to protect our Mods and News Researchers (they are a “protected class”) – these people devote so much time and effort – AND SHARE WITH EVERYONE FREELY!!
I’ll just do it with a smile
So – to finish up… GREAT PLACE. Nothing wrong – but we can be better…

Just patience. And I’m a bit older than 50 and still working full time with a long commute. Its OK we all have our cross to bear. (smile)

UK MP Jack Lopresti asked the Secretary of State why it took a year for the UK to supply ammunition and heavy weapons to the Peshmerga forces in Iraqi Kurdistan.
“Can he assure the House that such delays will never happen again, and that we are doing everything that we possibly can to help the Peshmerga in their fight against Daesh?” he asked, using another acronym for ISIS.
“We have supplied… not only heavy machine guns to the Peshmerga but ammunition for those heavy machine guns,” UK Defence Minister Fallon said.
