When does Iraq have to pay? Possibly Never. As long as their is faith in the government / currency folks will hold them. It is not unlike the USD — what would happen if everyone traded their USD this week?
The US Treasury couldn’t pay it. Put another way, look at the current Venezuelan currency — The world has lost faith and it is near worthless.
