Remember, The IMF cannot physically revalue a country.
Their job is to monitor, assist and approve a currency shift or deny one.
If they approve it, it is sent to the BIS…Bank of International Settlements.
Once the BIS puts their stamp on it it is returned to the IMF who then informs the country.

That is the process.
