Nouri al Malaki is, as usual, throwing a wrench into the [electoral] process but seems to have diminished powers these days. This process, which is contentious, could easily run into mid-2026 which is not abnormal for what many see as a terribly flawed electoral system. I tend to agree. I have watched, since 2017…four country‑wide elections. The dirty tricks and crooked candidates gets old and perhaps, one day, they will design a more efficient way of conducting their elections. : Fnu Lnu
