\Nouri al-Maliki is still formally the Shia Coordination Framework’s nominee and insists he will not withdraw, but his path to actually becoming prime minister has weakened and is now highly uncertain due to US pressure and internal divisions. Add to this complication, and all it’s baggage, Iraq now has it’s finances in peril due to 91% of it’s income being compromised. Not looking too good for the RV home team.
