[Airport Exchange Center Story Eric South Florida] I fly so much…every airport I go to I always go to the currency exchange places and ask them, ‘Hey do you guys have any Iraqi dinar for sale?’ There have only been two places in Florida that had them…I’m a regular customer…Yesterday…I asked, ‘How do you guys verify the bills are real?’ She said it goes through a lot of processes and she pointed to the…De LaRue machines. I said, ‘That machine is new…’ The employee said, ‘Yeah, that one’s new and that one back there is new.’ I saw an old machine off to the side…The employee said these are advanced motorized multi-sensor counterfeit detectors specialized bank-grade currency discriminators…They have a red light, infrared light and some type of sensor that detects the density of the raised perforation on bills…She said this is specifically meant for the Iraqi dinar and the Vietnamese dong. I took pictures discreetly…I don’t know the exact time, but they’re new.
