I agree, you’re not going to pay taxes at the bank. And I hope you don’t pay any fee at the bank.
You exchange, and then the bank makes money with you and your money and everyone’s happy.
But…the bank is not your government. You’re going to pay taxes on your capital gain that you’re going to get from this investment whether you like it or not and pretend that you’re never going to pay taxes. : Frank26
