Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Air Defense Command is set to receive a highly advanced air defense missile system in the first quarter of next year, a move that will significantly enhance the country’s aerial defense capabilities.
Lieutenant General Pilot Muhannad Ghalib Al-Asadi, the Air Defense Commander, stated today, Monday (October 6, 2025), that the new missile system will equip the command with high-level capabilities to execute a wide range of duties. He emphasized that the system is sophisticated, capable of engaging various aerial targets, including modern aircraft, and is specifically designed to operate effectively under advanced electronic warfare conditions.
