Iraq’s state-owned Rasheed Bank is preparing to facilitate the sale of US dollars to pilgrims ahead of the upcoming Hajj season.
The bank has instructed its branches to implement logistical arrangements, including increasing staffing levels, to ensure efficient processing of expected demand.
According to the bank, the measures form part of a proactive plan to streamline procedures and maintain smooth operations during the peak period.
The initiative aims to:
- Ensure timely access to foreign currency for pilgrims
- Improve processing speed and reduce waiting times
- Enhance service delivery across branch networks
Rasheed Bank stated that early preparation and operational organisation are intended to deliver efficient banking services and support pilgrims effectively during the Hajj season.
