Iraq denounces Israel’s strike against Qatar Iraqi News

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Foreign Ministry condemned on Tuesday Israel’s strike against Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The ministry described the attack as a despicable act that violates the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and poses a threat to its security and stability.

The strike is part of Israel’s ongoing strategy of killing and displacement of Palestinians, putting regional and international security at risk of further escalation, according to a statement released by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

The ministry reiterated Iraq’s firm support for the Qatari government and people in the face of any attacks that undermine their sovereignty or threaten their national security.

The ministry emphasized the need for the international community to take responsibility for putting an end to such abusive actions.

Israel launched an attack on Hamas officials in Qatar on Tuesday, broadening its military operations throughout the Middle East to include the Gulf state, where the Palestinian party has long maintained a political stronghold.

Qatar, which has served as a mediator alongside Egypt in negotiations for a cease-fire in Gaza’s conflict, denounced the strike and described it as a clear breach of international law.

Hamas leaders on the ceasefire negotiation team escaped the strike, which occurred following an evacuation order in Gaza, where Israel is carrying out an attack to eliminate the group and displace Palestinians.
