Iraq PM meets Turkish ambassador to discuss bilateral cooperation Iraqi News

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met on Sunday with Turkey’s Ambassador to Iraq, Anıl Bora İnan, to discuss the ongoing development of bilateral relations.

According to a statement from Al-Sudani’s office, the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors in a way that supports regional security, stability and mutual economic benefits for both countries.

Al-Sudani emphasized that ties between Iraq and Turkey continue to advance, supported by mutual political will and several existing agreements and memorandums of understanding. He highlighted the progress made on the water cooperation file, including the signing of the executive mechanism for the water agreement aimed at regulating water flows and improving water management between the two sides.

The Turkish ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for his support in expanding relations, reaffirming Turkey’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and friendship with Iraq in all fields.
