Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX) announced today, Sunday, that shares with a total value of more than 100 billion Iraqi Dinars were traded during the month of August. The report highlights a positive performance for the market, with a significant rise in its key index.
According to a report by the Iraqi Stock Exchange, the ISX held 20 trading sessions in August, during which shares of 71 of the 104 listed companies were traded. The total number of shares exchanged reached over 83.5 billion, with a financial value of more than 102.4 billion Dinars. These transactions were executed through 21,355 deals.
The ISX60 price index closed the month at 968.84 points, recording a positive increase of 2.42% from its previous close. The Iraq Stock Exchange holds five trading sessions each week, from Sunday to Thursday, with listed companies representing diverse sectors such as banking, communications, industry, agriculture, and tourism.
