Joint forces start liberation operation of areas in western Fallujah
On Thursday, Anbar Provincial Council announced, that the security forces started the liberation operation of the areas in western Fallujah from the ISIS control, while pointed out to the participation of al-Hashed al-Shaabi forces and international coalition aviation in the operation.
The security committee member in Anbar Province, Bahr Barakat al-Eissawi said in a brief statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Today the joint forces carried out a military operation to cleanse the areas in western Fallujah from the ISIS control,” noting that, “The operation was launched from al-Falahat area west of the city with the participation of al-Hashed al-Shaabi fighters.”
Eissawi added, “The coalition aircraft participated in the operation and conducted intensive air strikes, destroying ISIS stationing points.”
