Iraqi president receives an invitation to visit Pakistan soon
Iraqi President Barham Salih received on Sunday an invitation from his Pakistani counterpart Arif Alvi to visit Pakistan soon.
The president had a meeting with Pakistani ambassador to Iraq Sajid Bilal at the As Salam palace in Baghdad, the Iraqi presidency said in a press statement.
“Pakistan is an important and friendly country, and plays a vital role in the current issues,” Salih said.
During the get-together, Salih received a written message from Pakistani president Arif Alvi to visit Islamabad soon.
The meeting also tackled means of promoting relations between the two countries in different fields, the statement read. Source
