Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Acting Finance Minister Abdul Razzak al-Issa stated that the financial reform in the country, in cooperation with the World Bank (WB) has been started.
This move complements the agreement in Washington last Spring.
He pointed that this project will concentrate on financial administration and the implementation of the budget at the finance ministry and other departments.
Minister Issa added that the priorities of the project is to develop governmental investments.

Minister of Finance Agency Abdul Razzaq al- Issa revealed the launch of Iraq in cooperation with the World Bank representatives in Baghdad project reform and modernization of the financial management systems of the state.
A statement by the Ministry of Al – Issa said during his meeting with World Bank representatives headed by the Special Representative of the Bank of Robert Bo quality and his accompanying delegation that this important step comes on the basis of the agreement with the World Bank representatives during the spring meetings recently held in Washington.

Forty – one million dollars is the European loan value of the Ministry of Finance, this money will go according to those who made it to the reform and modernization of economic management and the investment process in the country.
In this context, Abdul Razzaq al- Issa said, the Minister of Finance Agency, said : ” The loan value of forty – one and 500 million dollars, to the process of modernizing the Ministry of Finance Management and the process of investment management between the Ministry of Finance and Planning, as well as there will be a grant from the European countries to the process of Iraq ‘s development.”
Officials at the World Bank , confirmed that the funds are protected and deposited in the Ministry of Finance for direct disbursement.
For his part, Repairwear quality PU, the Special Representative of the Mission of the World Bank confirmed in Iraq , “This project will put the funds disposal of the Ministry of Finance there will be tenders for the purchase of services and modernization of systems.”
Experts believe that the economic reforms will contribute to creating a magnet for foreign investment factors, which will expand the country ‘s productive base and alleviate the burden on the public budget.

Finance Minister Discuss Agency Essa Abdul Razak with the Kuwaiti ambassador in Baghdad , Salim Ghassab Zamanan ways to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the file of Iraqi compensation to Kuwait.
Alissa stressed during the meeting , the ministry said in a statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it, that ” the Kuwaiti – Iraqi relations will be a model for striking in the field of investment , expressing his optimism with an area of understanding and rapprochement between the two brotherly countries.”
For his part , the transfer of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the desire of the State of Kuwait and its companies to invest in development projects that serve Iraq, particularly in the energy, industry and other areas of vital sectors , stressing draws the two countries to overcome the file of compensation according mechanisms that do not harm the interests of both sides. ”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait confirmed on 25 April last her country ‘s readiness for future study options aimed at ensuring the continuation of the payment of the Iraqi party amount of US $ 4.6 billion as part of the compensation for the invasion of the former regime of the State of the 1990 losses.

Samson: Iraq, Iran sign banking cooperation memo

Iranian Central Bank announced that talks were held with the Iraqi Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) to coordinate financial cooperation.
In a statement, the two-day talks concentrated on completing the procedures to hold the joint banking committee during the coming two weeks.
The meetings were to follow up the cooperation agreement between Iranian and Iraqi central banks signed last year, the statement added.
It pointed out that the memorandum stipulated opening accounts in Euro currency and the mechanisms for settlement of financial obligations in local currencies.

Samson: Arab region is witnessing this evening, “a burst of meteors”
Arab region is witnessing, on Friday evening, and over three days to come, an astronomical phenomenon called “meteors burst”, and where the sky is lit area in large numbers of meteors are unusual.
He explained Ashraf Tadros, head of astronomy section of the National Institute for Astronomical and Egyptian Geophysical Research, a press statement, that the barrage of meteors mean the fall of the number of meteors each hour significantly, as it is also called “Shihabi rain”, where burning meteors in the upper layers of the atmosphere at a distance approaching almost 100 km.
Tadros said that the best time to see the phenomenon of meteor burst, is the middle of the night and even during the sunrise on Friday, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow at the same time, reaches the rate of appearance of meteors during this period 30 flare per hour in the northern hemisphere.
The phenomenon reaches its peak in the third day of any midnight Sunday and even before next Monday, but the presence of the moon may block the vision of a number of meteors, and a better view of the phenomenon is advised to stay away from severe urban lights, and go out to the highlands.
