BAGHDAD / JD / .. the parliamentary finance committee confirmed, that the donor states stipulated that Iraq modified its annual budget and reduce the aspects of exchange against the granting of loans, while warning the exposure of the country to bankruptcy in the event of continued deterioration of the financial situation.
He said committee member MP Magda Tamimi told / KD / that “there are obligations of Iraq must adhere to when receiving financial loans by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund as well as major donor countries.”
“The donor stipulated that Iraq modified annual financial budget and reduce the aspects of exchange of expenditures against granting loans,” pointing out that “Iraq is still in a state of confusion of the various fields, not financial, which may expose the country to bankruptcy,” .anthy / 8 particularly /

This article cannot make it any clearer, the government of Iraq must reduce spending in their budget, amend the budget law, and remove the exchange restrictions as per the Staff Monitored Agreement that the IMF and Iraq agreed to back in December of 2015.
