Central Bank of England put in circulation, on Tuesday, the new currency, one of the five pounds category, bearing the image of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who died in 1965.
The first cities that will be able to handle it is to London, Manchester, Leeds, Hull and Cardiff.
This new paper written by one of Churchill’s famous phrases in front of the parliament in 1940, the beginning of World War II, a “I do not have anything else I serve is blood, pain and tears and sweat.”
The image appears behind the Westminster Parliament, as you can see Big Ben which refers to her watch the fifteenth time and this is the time during which the pronunciation Churchill remarks.
The new paper is made of plastic are subject to bending, resistance to washing in the washing machines. This is the first time that you use in Britain polymer material to print currency, usually cotton putty material used.
Anketra Bank says that the age of the paper longer than twice the age of the other banknotes. It is also difficult to counterfeit.
As for the old cash with the same value of the paper they will remain valid for trading until the fifth of May 2017.
The bank pointed out that the new plastic currency of ten pounds per category will be issued during the summer of next year, either twenty pounds category will be issued by 2020.
