US military: sending a force of Marines on the ground to support operations against Daash
The US military said it sent a force of US Marines on the ground in Iraq to support operations against Daash.
Central Command of the Army Alamirekevi briefing that “showed a group of Marines belonging to the unit 26 in the US forces will reinforce already in Iraq to fight Daash within the international alliance’s mission.”
The statement said that “the unit 26 will be secured the security situation in the scope of work of the Fifth Fleet of the US Navy, which includes the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea and part of the Indian Ocean.”
