This will be a very unpopular move for Abadi to make right now, the folks need those ration cards and fuel subsidies, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sadr reject this.
It looks like they’re trying to lower expenses and dismantle the socialist structure of Iraq but they need to get the open market economy up and running before they do it, IMO.
