Shabibi worked in the Ministry of Finance and later moved into the CBI Governor position.
He modernized the department, built them a new building, raised the value of the dinar from 3000-1 to 1166-1, reduced inflation from 64% to 5.2% and raised the reserves from $2.7 billion to $67 billion.
Not to …..wait for it….shabby.
So, what has Keywords done?
Not much…Since he’s been put into the Governors position the reserves have dropped from roughly $80 billion to somewhere close to $44 billion.
Comparing these two is a disservice to Shabibi.
He fought corruption tooth and nail, and for that effort, he was ran out of the country on trumped up charges brought by Haitham al-Jabouri and the rest of Maliki’s henchmen.
Keywords is a Dawa party member who was put, by proxy, into the position he holds today by one of most corrupt members of Iraq’s government.
