Back in February they changed the exchange rate from 1450 to 1310…when they did that Al Sudani warned people, ‘Hey, your dinar are going to be stronger.‘ But he wasn’t specific …In a previous statement Al-Sudani said…quote “We reassure the citizens not to acquire the dollar because the dinar is strongest.“ And then this weekend we see videos of marketplaces. We see the parallel market decreasing which means the Iraqi dinar is increasing…it looks like what we’re seeing on public media is they’re out using their dollars to buy dinar…The expectation is there will be significant change in the future in the dinar and it will be stronger than the dollar. That’s my words…what I feel is the description of what was said by Al-Sudani today. Everything looks really really pretty spectacular…they have massive inroads of progress.
