So, we are waiting for them to announce the new governor of the CBI. Many sources believe this is needed before going ahead again on the project to delete the zeros, as least to the final stages we are looking for. My guess is this may be the case. Good news is that the CBI is pressuring now ALL the banks to start up their ATMs and use POS to conduct business instead of cash. We have known about this objective since 2011 so this is nothing new. However, to see the CBI really pushing this now may mean they are starting their last drive in this direction… This to me says the final part of the project to delete the zeros is underway.
