President Nzar Amedi received a delegation from the parliamentary Investment and Development Committee at the Palace of Peace in Baghdad on Wednesday.
According to the Media Department of the Iraqi Presidency, the meeting covered two main areas:
- Ways to improve Iraq’s investment environment, with the President stressing the importance of supporting economic development plans, removing obstacles facing investors, and strengthening public-private partnerships
- Formation of the new government, with the President emphasising the need to support the Prime Minister-designate in selecting a competent cabinet based on criteria of integrity, expertise, and independence
The delegation also offered congratulations to the President on assuming office.
