Sadrists: Maliki responsibility for fall of Mosul still haunts Iraqis
Sadrist Movement’s Parliamentary al-Ahrar bloc accused former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of pushing Iraq in regional conflicts that resulted in ISIS’ occupation of one third of Iraqi lands.
In a press statement, MP from al-Ahrar bloc Riyad al-Saedi said that Maliki failed to rule Iraq and handed one third of Iraq to ISIS terrorists.
He asserted that Maliki also caused an economic crisis in Iraq due to his government’s rampant corruption.
Maliki didn’t defend Iraqis as he was busy protecting his post as prime minister and Iraqis are still paying the price of his greed and mistakes.
He shoulders the full responsibility for the fall of Mosul in ISIS’ terrorist hands, he added.
