The Central Bank of Iraq revealed, on Thursday, the names of fuel filling stations on the sides of Karkh and Al-Rusafa in Baghdad, which will provide electronic payment points (pos) early next month in cooperation with the Oil Products Distribution Company.
The Central Bank’s media said, in a statement received by {Euphrates News} a copy of it, that: “A number of fuel filling stations in the capital Baghdad have been identified as a first stage in which electronic payment points (pos) are available through bank cards (creditor, city, prepaid), and this came based on the government’s directions to circulate electronic payment points and reduce the use of cash.”
“This expected start in identifying fuel filling stations will contribute to spreading the culture of electronic payment and be the beginning of a huge project targeting society, aimed at reducing the use of cash and saving money,” he added.
He added that “the stations identified in cooperation with the Oil Products Distribution Company of the Ministry of Oil are:
1- Karkh stations
– Packing station Al-Armouk near the train/Dawdi railway
– Mobilization station First police / University district / behind Mullah Hawiish Mosque
- Umm Al-Dul Drums Filling Station / Al-Dahlia District / Behind Umm Al-Taboul Mosque
– Filling station The message / Al-Mansour near the statue of Abu Jaafar Al-Mansour
2- Rusafa stations
– Saadoun Filling Station / Al-Saadoun Street
- Abu Qalam / Karrada filling station inside
– Mussa bin Naseer / Karrada Mobilization Station, Salman Faik Street near Al-Shorouk Building
- Al- Al-Hazila/Waziriya filling station
– Bataouin filling station / flight yard opposite Baghdad market.
