Question: “What are the odds the VDN will devalue as opposed to revalue to keep Vietnam’s exports competitive globally?”
The VND is artificially held in place by the State Bank of Vietnam. And they have a tight grip on it, because they want a lower valued Dong for imports and exports. All of that will change on Sept 21st when the FTSE upgrades them to Emerging Status. : Thom
