If Abadi is smart he is framing the argument as “ARE YOU A PATRIOT OR ARE YOU NOT“?
Basically he is preaching that a vote against this change is a vote for corruption.
He is separating the corrupt from the herd. He is building a consensus in parliament to lock down the SOL and mute their expected vote of NO.
He will get many SOL converts further weakening the SOL’s power base.
When he feels he has the votes, it will be presented to parliament.
It is my guess that with the speed at which this is being done, it won’t take ten days.
Sometime shortly, if he feels he has locked enough votes up, he will finish this. Joubari will call a special session. 10 days is the outside number…but I think it will be done sooner than that.
